Lori Borgman, a free-lance family life columnist, is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism. She is the author of three books including, "I Was a Better Mother Before I Had Kids."

She and her husband, Charlie Nye, live in Indianapolis. They have three children who have all graduated from college and are now gainfully employed.
