Motorists traveling Monument Circle on New Year's
Eve in 1973 had a chance to see a time-honored tradition firsthand:
Father Time bowing out and turning the world over to the newborn
1974. The new year's Baby, Lawrence Voeller, helped Father Time,
William Campbell, limp his way around the Circle. The men said they
portrayed the old and new years as a gag, braving low temperatures
and a light snow. (Greg Griffo / The Star)
