Darryl Woods found a "tweeting" egg at the base of
a tree during the Easter Egg Hunt at the Indiana School For the
Blind on April 12, 1979. The battery-operated audible eggs,
provided for the hunt by the Telephone Pioneers of America, emitted
a tweeting sound that allowed the more than 50 blind children at
the hunt to follow the sound and find the eggs, which were
exchanged for an Easter basket filled with candy. (Patty Espich / The News)
